Motor Circuit

Checking the motor circuit from the board is generally as simple as viewing the diagram and seeing how the motor is getting its Line and Neutral.

In the example below, we can disconnect the corresponding connections and can check resistance through it. If getting OL, you’ll want to check the thermal fuse, the motor connection and the door switch on this diagram in particular.

Timer Model

For a timer model, the PTS switch goes down through the thermal fuse, through the motor, and back to the White wire on the S terminal of this timer.
