1. Assumption of Risk & Liability Disclaimer

Appliance repair is inherently dangerous. The content provided on this site involves working with high voltage, sealed systems, gas lines, and potentially hazardous materials.

• Perform at Your Own Risk: All repairs, diagnostics, and techniques demonstrated on this platform are performed entirely at your own physical and financial risk.
• Accuracy of Information: While we strive to provide the most accurate and up-to-date training possible, information may contain errors. Appliance Tech Academy is not liable for any property damage, personal injury, loss of revenue, or equipment failure resulting from the use or misuse of the information on this site.
• Age Requirements: Because of the electrical and physical hazards associated with appliance repair, users under the age of 18 must be supervised by a qualified adult when utilizing our training materials or attempting repairs.

2. Content Usage, Intellectual Property & Custom Training

We believe in accessible education, and the training content on this site is free for individual learning. However, you must obtain explicit written permission before duplicating, sharing, or hosting our materials (including videos, podcasts, translated documents, and CAT system modules) elsewhere.

We are generally open to allowing our content to be shared, provided Appliance Tech Academy is explicitly referenced and credited. Please contact to request permission.

3. Community Guidelines & Account Termination

The Trade Craft section of our site allows technicians to upload content and interact. We expect users to maintain professional and respectful conduct. We reserve the right to ban accounts and block IP addresses, without notice, for:

• Suspicious or automated bot activity.
• Abusive behavior, harassment, or spamming other users.
• Uploading malicious, illegal, or irrelevant content.

4. Privacy Policy & Data Handling

We respect your privacy and are transparent about what we collect and why.

• We Never Sell Your Data: We will never sell your personal information, email addresses, or quiz results to any third party.
• CAT System & Quizzes: When you take an adaptive assessment, we retain the name used and the quiz results (right and wrong answers). We do not use your name for marketing. We analyze the aggregated quiz data strictly to identify industry knowledge gaps and generate new training content for the platform.
• Employer Portal: Information submitted or routed through the employer portal goes directly to the respective employers for hiring and evaluation purposes.
• Third-Party Tools: We use standard third-party tools (such as Google Analytics) to monitor site traffic, ensure functionality, and improve user experience. While these tools may collect standard web data (like browser type or general location), your personal identity and data remain protected under our strict no-sale policy.
