Free Program

Thanks for choosing the free program! I am excited to have you here and sincerely hope that you learn a lot! That said, please keep in mind that with the free platform, the videos might be a bit slower than on the Certified Professional course, and there are some modules that are not included with the free program.

With that said, I do aim to provide one of the most comprehensive free online appliance repair training programs, and hope that you find the content useful. While the free program is not the same as the paid one, here are the main differences:

With the Certified Professional program, you get:

  • One-on-one training sessions with content that might not be sticking.
  • Instructor feedback on the questions you get wrong.
  • Access included for the microwave training program.
  • Faster video playback speeds.
  • All the course content.

The Program 

This program is structured appliance-by-appliance, ensuring a practical learning experience. While we do start with an electricity module, I promise it’s concise and to the point. From there, we dive into the real-world application—the fun stuff. I’ve designed this program to be engaging, practical, and, most importantly, useful in the field.

In these modules, we’ll begin by exploring the Theory of Operations for each appliance. This provides a high-level overview of how the unit functions as a whole. In my experience, understanding the overall operation of the appliance is crucial before diving into how individual components contribute to achieving that function. So, even if it feels like this section isn’t directly related to the task at hand, trust me—it’s important. Take the time to read through it and build on that foundational knowledge.

Disclaimer 

In the world of appliance repair, there are generally no mandatory certifications like those required for electricians or plumbers. However, professional certifications are available to demonstrate your expertise and proficiency in the field. While this course is not a nationally recognized certification program, it is designed to equip you with the essential knowledge and skills needed to repair appliances effectively. Completing this course does not guarantee employment, but it will give you a strong foundation in appliance repair.

This program is the result of years of hands-on experience, built on both successes and lessons learned from past mistakes. My goal is to provide you with the knowledge and resources necessary to become a skilled appliance repair technician.

Additionally, we’re working on adding live training sessions where we’ll go over course material with you to ensure a deeper understanding.

The Training

I’ve gone through a variety of training programs over the course of my career. I have learned a lot, and have forgotten and relearned a lot. Throughout these modules, I will be repeating myself on key concepts. The course is designed to instill in you the relevant knowledge that you need to know through visual aids and repetition.

Reviewing Quiz Feedback

[If you selected the Certified Professional membership, you will receive Instructor Feedback on the quizzes if you miss questions. If you opted for the free version, you will not receive instructor feedback.]

When you complete a test and you get a question wrong, the instructor will generally try to provide feedback on the questions. To find that feedback, navigate to the website, and select the My Courses tab. Then select the My Quiz Attempts option.

In that area, you will see the quizzes you took. When you select the Details option for the given quiz, you will see the instructor feedback, if any.
